Public Decor: from Cows to Thrones

Remember the slew of painted cows around Chicago in the 90"s?....This is better!  The recent promotional ads for the Art Institute of Chicago's latest exhibit... 50 French Throne appliques on various seats on the CTA's red line have been installed so that patrons can take photos, put them on the Art Institute's facebook page and win "The Royal Treatment" which is a private tour of the exhibition, a nights stay at the Palmer House Hilton and the collection book in hardcover.

A fun and interactive way to get Chicagoans interested in what's going on at the Art Institute and to make the EL a bit more "decorated" See some examples of work that will be shown at the exhibit below.  A stunning period of art that was influenced heavily by the Italian renaissance.  You will see both the sacred and the secular with all of its gothic exuberance!
